A short railway tunnel, and the old Bergen Railway toward Finse. The photo was taken soon after I had started my bicycling back to Finse, from Kvinå. The lake is Tågavatni, and in the background are the mountain areas Memorge and Dyrhaugane. (Photo at 15:23:07, August 1 2006)

Kvinå, photographed on my way back toward Finse

I took this photo of Kvinå, from Rallarvegen on my way back. The peak of Kvinå is at 1338 meters above sea level. The opening into the old Bergen Railway tunnel under Kvinå was partly covered with snow. And you can see Rallarvegen I had recently bicycled downward. The lake you see is Tågavatni at 1298 meters above sea level. As I had turned, I was now bicycling alongside, and downstream Ustevassdraget, toward Finse. (Photo at 15:26:37, August 1 2006)

Rallarvegen — north-west of Fagernut

Two very happy bicyclists coming from Fagernut on Rallarvegen, on their way toward Kvinå. The lake that you see is Tågavatni. The mountain, to the left, is Fagernuten with a peak at 1455 meters above sea level. (Photo at 15:31:08, August 1 2006)

The lengthmen's house at Fagernut, and the mountain Fagernuten

This photo shows the lengthmen's house at Fagernut, seen from west. In the background is the mountain Fagernuten, altitude 1455 meters above sea level. The lengthmen's house is at 1310 meters above sea level. I had to bicycle a distance of circa 1000 meters uphill, and ascend 33 meters, to reach the peak of Rallarvegen, at 1343 meters above sea level, at the south-west side of Fagernuten.
