I took this photo from Rallarvegen, at Finseneset. (Photo at 12:06:23, August 1 2006)
This photo shows the Hardangerjøkulen glacier. This part of it is named Middalen. The glacier's peak is a rather flat area at 1863 meters above sea level. To the right of the glacier, is one of the mountain peaks of Bukkeskinnshjellane at 1722 meters above sea level. To the left of the glacier, is the mountain nordre Kongsnuten with a peak at 1620 meters above sea level. In the foreground is Finsevatnet, at 1214 meters above sea level. Bicyclists on Rallarvegen. In the background one can see Finse, and the mountain Jomfrunuten, with its peak at 1471 meters above sea level. (Photo at 12:14:36, August 1 2006)
The same bicyclists as in the previous photo, and from the same position, but I had turned myself around. The bicyclists had passed me, and now bicycles toward Nordnut. In the background one can see Bukkeskinnshjellane, with its peaks at 1722–1759 meters above sea level, and to the left a glimpse of the Hardangerjøkulen glacier at Middalen.
